ABOUT: Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have had a profound impact on the Black community by providing accessible higher education, fostering Black leadership, contributing significantly to social movements, and promoting economic mobility among people of African descent, particularly by educating a large proportion of first-generation college students; essentially serving as a crucial engine for upward mobility within the Black community.
