Welcome to the second term of the school year! While it may still feel like winter in Brooklyn, the spring semester is officially here. We are excited to see our students back in the building and ready to learn.

 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)
Are you looking for a summer job? We are hosting informational sessions and application workshops to help students apply for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).
When: Tuesday, 2/3 and Thursday, 2/5
Time: During your lunch period
Where: School Library
Important Reminder: Students must have their Social Security number to complete the application. Please ensure your student has a copy or the number written down in a secure place.

Celebrating Black History Month
This February, we are honoring Black History Month through research, daily trivia, and the arts.
- Each week, we will highlight notable individuals who have shaped our culture and history. We encourage students to research these figures to learn about their lasting impact on society.
- Join our daily trivia contest! Submit your answers in the library by 3:00 PM each day. Correct entries will be entered into a raffle for prizes.
- Students are invited to submit original poems focused on justice, empathy, compassion, and inclusion.
Prizes: The top three submissions will receive awards.
Grand Prize: The winning poem will be performed during our Black History Month Showcase on February 26th.
